The 2nd Annual San Diego Smooth Jazz Festival
Doc Powell is a wonderful and delightful guitarist. He thrilled the audience with his exceptional style of artistry, which gave his fans great satisfaction. Powell is a very smooth and artful musician that makes his craft seem so effortless. His band is equally talented as well. "Cruisin" a song from his 2001 recently released cd entitled Life Changes was preformed by Powell. Additionally, He and his band preformed "Lets Dance" from his 1996 cd release entitled Laid Back. Powell also preformed various songs from his other notable cd's entitled Doctor, Inner City Blues, and Don't Let The Smooth Jazz Fool Ya. Powell wears many different hats in the music industry; he is a very talented, Guitarist, Composer, Arranger, producer, and Recording Artist with unforgettable qualities.
The Festival held over a two-day duration was truly a successful and well-organized event. We shall all wait eagerly for The 3rd Annual San Diego Smooth Jazz Festival. Therefore, let us all thank the Williams and Benoit families for a memorable and wonderful time. Thank you!!
