Mr Edgar Bateman was one of the greatist drummers on the planet it was a blessing to talk to him always.I had just talked to him on May 9th 2010 on the Broad street Train ,I know the reason Know we met on that train one last time.Rest in peace Mr Edgar Bateman,Ilove you man.

What a shock to learn of his transition, what a loss.
I had the pleasure to work and record with him in NYC during the 1960's. He was always an inspiration and encouraged many of us to stay in shape.
My condolences to his family, friends, students and fans.
