I had the joy of seeing these two perform together not once but twice: first in an outdoor concert in Buffalo, NY in '75 and again in Portland, OR five years later. This article really brings back a constellation of memories surrounding those two performances; I still listen to these CD often.

I own all these recordings on both vinyl and CD, and have studied them endlessly, but your scholarship and attention to the right sort of detail plunged me right back into the excitement and freshness of (re)discovery. And you topped it off with a great photo of Chick and Gary from the ECM archives plus of videos of their performance of Children's Songs and Señor Mouse. Most satisfying.
