Leslie - Thanks very much. I agree, Lorraine is a spectacular lyricist. She is in a class with great writers like Jon Hendricks and Johnny Mercer. And she has cured me many times with the medicine of her humor.

Fabulous article, Carl! I'm a jazz-loving Episcopal priest, and all of Lorraine's albums take up major real estate on my iPod. She's what I listen to on Sunday mornings driving to services--gets the creative juices flowing!
