Thanks for the article. Having seen him live a number of times (with Joshua Redman) and owning a bunch of his work (Redman, Lloyd, etc), I'm amazed at how under appreciated he is. Someday he'll get the kudos he deserves -he's an unbelievable musician with a masterful sense of timing and taste.

I'd not say he's underappreciated...he gets plenty of cred for his work with SFJAZZ, Lloyd, Parks, etc. But the leap to a leader is the next logical step, and this one's a great one. Thank for writing!
