Great review, John. That first part was like a history lesson! I especially enjoyed your description of the Valdes and Lopez-Nussa Trio gigs. Your photographs are terrific every single time.

Thanks so much, Robert. I always feel that where you are figures heavily into what you hear, so like to include some coverage about the place. I was very fortunate to have been assigned a personal (!) tour guide one afternoon, a wonderful woman named Charlotte Fey who not only knew the city's history better than guys like you and I know music (!), but vividly brought it to life.
