Hi,

I was surprised that you didn't mention the recent visit (October 2010) by New York based saxophonist, Seamus Blake, who was a guest artist with Mark McKnight during their tour of Ireland and the UK. The band recorded a CD in Scotland which is scheduled for release in May, 2011.I understand from Mark that the Belfast gig, the first of the tour, was very well received.

Hi Dan
As Mark McKnight wasn't in the country when I visited I didn't get the chance to talk to him so I guess I wasn't made sufficiently aware of the tour by those I did interview. There were quite a few names that didn't make it into the article - an indication of the active nature of the Irish scene. I look forward to the CD.
