Sounds like Wetzel has no doubt been reading and absorbing Bill Moody's Evan Horne jazz mysteries, but I'll give this one a try anyway.

Got this book a couple of weeks ago. Characterisation is sharp and created a strong connection. Dynamic plot, good suspense and lots of funny moments. The sort of book that leaves you smiling.
