Freelance writer and linguist... and music fanatic!
Born in Montreal and raised in Bloomington, IN, Montreal, Toronto, and then back again in Montreal--a trend which pdl continued on his own by sampling nearly every major Canadian city 'til the funds or interest ran out--he eventually settled in the South of France, but somehow wound back in Montreal... His obsessions include The Simpsons, unearthing structure in all things, and, of course, music (the good kind!)--he plays piano and guitar, though not professionally. His background includes Linguistics, Philosophy, and Literature. He's written articles on jazz and on semiotic theory for several venues, but he mostly earns his living writing for large corporations and small software firms, something he's trying hard to get away from...
