Welcome to All About Jazz, a web site produced by jazz fans and those who love the web and its infinite possibilities to support our music. Our ongoing mission (of 25 years) is to provide information and opinion about jazz from the past, present, and future. We aim to inform and entertain our readers and help them discover new jazz as well as provide promotional tools for working jazz professionals. Our diverse offerings are neatly categorized and easily accessible from the EXPLORE button (see top left), from our SEARCH button (see top right and be sure to try our advanced search) and from our footer.

As a highly active hub for jazz, we introduce new content daily and most of it is accessible from our home page. It's not uncommon for us to publish 7-8 new articles a day. We strive to serve both the curious listener and the jazz aficionado. Listeners who are new to jazz will benefit from perusing our Building a Jazz Library and Top Ten columns as well as our radio and podcast programs; those with a more established interest will find our extensive archives of 77,000 reviews and articles helpful. The internet is a great place to find and share information, and we maintain stacks and stacks of it.

Jazz Near You was introduced in 2012 and quickly established itself as the most comprehensive source for jazz event, venue and festival information. Our international business directory is host to 36,000 businesses, organizations, schools, and more. We encourage you to sign up and subscribe to our weekly newsletter to get the latest news from All About Jazz and to learn who is performing live (or streamed) near you. If you're curious about our ever-evolving platform you can track our progress from my Publisher's Desk blog. If you're like us and feel strongly about our mission, you can support us with a modest financial contribution, and in return we'll deliver an ad-free experience (learn about that here). We hope you sign up, dig in, and become an active member of our community.

All the best!
